THE RETIRED MAN:

The Householder enjoys London's culture, opera, theatre and going to art galleries. He is very well-read and is a retired academic within the health sector. He continues to write scientific papers. The retired man remains active and enjoys walking every day.

HOMESHARE LOCATION:

This homeshare is a 5 minute walk to Woodside Park (zone 4), which is on the Northern Line. It takes 23 minutes to get to King's Cross Station. West Finchley is 1 stop away. Due to good transport links the companion does not need a car.

THE HOME:

The home is a 5 bedroom house with a garden. The companion would have their own floor at the top of the house consisting of a large bedroom, a kitchenette, shower room, separate toilet and a landing. The bedroom available has a king-size bed, wardrobe and open drawers, with a desk. There is parking and storage for a bicycle can be arranged. There is an African Grey parrot in the home.

THE IDEAL COMPANION:

The retired man is looking for a companion who will be happy to provide 10 to 15 hours of friendly company and practical support per week in exchange of affordable accommodation (supported by Share my Home). The ideal companion will be a woman or a man over the age of 25 years, who is happy to cook and provide friendly company at least 2 nights per week and go for walks a few times a week (preferrably the morning) with the older man. This homeshare opportunity will suit a mature student or working professional, either working from home or working outside of the home. This is not appropriate for those with pets.

ALL BILLS INCLUDED:

£210 per month (all rent, bills and Share My Home subscription are included in this amount). There are no other costs.
